MYHA Weekly Roundup: Dec. 4th
by posted 12/05/2019

The MYHA's 14U and 12U Girls teams had a special practice experience on Wednesday night. More than 30 players participated in a session led by 2018 U.S. Olympic gold medalist Amanda Kessel, the official girls youth hockey ambassador of the New York Rangers, and Sarah Antonelli, coach of the Junior Rangers PeeWee Girls Tournament Team.

It was just the first highlight in what is shaping up to be a big week for the 12U Tigers. The 14th-ranked Tier II girls team in the country, the Tigers (7-0-1) will host the Tier I Darien Ice Cats at Hommocks this Friday, Dec. 6th, at 5:30 p.m. Any MYHA players planning to come watch the game should wear their home white game jerseys to the rink.

* Congratulations to the 8U Cheetahs White squad, which won the Gravy Division of the 2019 Turkey Shootout. The Cheetahs and 8U Cubs were among the 13 teams -- which included more than 140 players -- who participated in the MYHA's annual Thanksgiving event. Scarsdale's 8U team won the Stuffing Division.
